Array is a glass bottle project in the premium spirits sector in cooperation with the glass manufacturer O-I. The preference of the customer is shifting from mass produced brands towards supporting local distilleries. These often don‘t have the resources to spend money on expensive moulds.
With Array I split bottle moulds into 3 separate parts, neck, body and bottom. With only a few different variations for each section multiple combinations and designs can be created.
The two seams which appear on the bottle due to the split in the mould is one of the key stylistic features and should be highlighted in the design.
Inspired by childrens flip books Array offers 49 different necks, bodies and bottoms resulting in over 100.000 possible combinations.
