Droplets is a seating concept for public means of transport. Observations indicate elder citizens are often reluctant to sit down during short tram rides. The seat offers hesitant seniors a place to perch.
The compact design also improves the flow of people during peak times. The upholstered seat shells can be rotated by 180° around the handrail. The two resulting heights are highlighted in the change of colour. The goal of the design is to sway passengers into standing rather than sitting down especially for short distances.
