Nature at home

Nature is a fascinating and diverse element that has a significant impact on all of our lives. It is full of surprises and unknowns that can be very amazing and beautiful for us, but also dangerous. In this context, over the years, people have used various methods to domesticate nature and transform it into a safe, pleasant and usable environment according to their requirements - even in their own homes.

In my bachelor thesis I would like to look at the interesting topic "Nature at home" from an artistic point of view and focus on the idea of domesticating nature. The practical examination of the topic resulted in an artistic work that can be described as a "melting carpet". It symbolizes the ambivalence in our relationship with nature by blurring the boundaries between inside and outside, control and uncontrollability.
