Suddenly, working from a home office and tackling with digital forms of communication gain considerably more significance. When working from home, private rooms often serve more than just one purpose. Thus, a room can be a bedroom, a living room and an office at the same time.

screen is a product that allows the user to determine and con- trol to what degree their colleagues are granted insights into their private living situation during video conferences.
The product represents a semi-transparent border, metapho- rically speaking a kind of membrane, which can also be used in face-to-face work situations.

The key concept is the wish for self-determined design of the individual work space and the decision what to reveal, what to screen off and what to focus on.
