INPOS
The starting point of the project was the essay «In Praise of Shadows» by the Japanese author Junichiro Tanizaki. After an initially very experimental examination of the subject, a lamp that plays with the beauty of shadow and the changeability of spatial perception has been created. Light and shadow are projected onto a surface, creating the illusion that bright daylight enters the room through a window. A phenomenon that one often encounters by chance on a sunny day. Light, shadow and architecture form a connection. The poetry lies especially in the delicate shading of the light. Therefore the light beam is projected through a structured glass object to create fine gradients and different light refractions.
