With the upcoming winter term, we are restructuring our degree programs B.A. Product Design and M.A. Design Futures into a study program with a stronger artistic, authorial, and future-oriented focus.
The standard period of study for the B.A. Product Design will in future be 8 terms.
Applications for the Bachelor Product Design and the Master Design Futures are possible once a year in spring. Detailed information on the application procedure and deadlines, examination regulations, and module handbooks can be found on the following pages:
Submission of applications via the application portal on the Folkwang website will be possible from 15 January 2026 for the winter semester 2026/27.
The application deadline is 15 March 2026.
Advising and Information
We offer prospective students the opportunity to participate in subject-specific and portfolio advising sessions. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your work with a lecturer prior to applying. Academic advising generally takes place between November and February.
